I am the Executive Officer for the Office of the Chief Component Human Capital Officer at FEMA. I previously served as the Director of Diversity & Inclusion for Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Assistant Director of Operations for the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore Medical Center, one of the largest multi-specialty outpatient facilities in Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM). As the former Hospital Medicine Administrator for Johns Hopkins Medicine, I oversaw the performance improvement processes at programs at all of the Maryland JHM hospitals. I have expertise in leadership, process improvement and training development. My passion for leadership and commitment to helping others along their own paths of leadership has been a catalyst for my professional success. I have been a featured speaker on the national level on the topics of healthcare leadership and peer management.
I am also a national coach for the Language of Caring and I work with hospitals and health systems around the country in their efforts to improve their patient experience. In my work with the Language of Caring, I partner with leadership teams at each of my client organizations to help them ensure not only a successful implementation, but long-term success and enduring culture change. My sincere, but light-hearted and inspirational style enables me to facilitate Language of Caring skill-building programs in ways that resonate and stick with each attendee.
I hold a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.A. Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland.
I look forward to the opportunity to talk with you about your organization’s professional development needs and how I can help you meet your goals.
